How to glaze cabinets. For this reason it is better to focus on sections as you work. As soon as you apply the glaze wipe it off in one direction. When the cabinets are ready start glazing by using a rag or paint brush to apply the glaze it will look messy and a little scary but don t worry.
Focus on one small area of the cabinets at a time. Apply glaze to a section of one cabinet door or drawer. The glaze on the cabinets will dry quickly.
If you are using a roller or brush move them in one direction only. Dip a rag natural bristle paintbrush or foam brush into the glaze. No need to seal.
If you are removing too much at once allow it to sit a little longer about 10 minutes. Now apply the glaze to the surface of the cabinets using a thick grade cloth. Rub it over gently to get a smooth finish.
Paint the glaze on a few cabinet doors or drawers at a time. You can use a rag a brush or sponge applicator to apply the glaze to the cabinet. Some of the glaze will settle into any seams or grain lines in the wood.
